What is Blue Comet?
Blue Comet is a FREE advanced web-based chat client that allows you to use the AI engine behind Claude to ask questions to, write code with, write articles, etc... It has advanced AI-powered features that make it easy to use and a powerful assistant, like its one-click prompt enhancer. It stores everything (conversations, settings, keys) on your machine, helping to prevent thrid parties from tracking what you do.
Why did you create Blue Comet?
We wanted a tool that would allow use to use the power of Claude, our favorite AI engine, while avoiding the 3-4 hour "timeouts" the Claude client imposes often on power users. By going directly to the Anthropic engine via its API, we can avoid this productivity-blocking issue.
How do I use Blue Comet?
Just click on the Launch App menu item on the top menu bar, or one of the "Try Now" buttons. You will using the client in 2 or so seconds - it's that simple.
What do I need to start using Blue Comet?
Using Blue Comet is straightforward. Simply sign up for an account at Anthropic's site, get an API key, and start leveraging our intuitive AI-powered interface to enhance your projects and workflows today. Get started at https://www.anthropic.com/api
What devices support Blue Comet?
Blue Comet runs on Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox browsers. It has been tested on Mac, Windows, and Linux desktops and laptops. It also runs on IOS and Android tablets with reasonable screen sizes.
Why is it free?
We made the decision to make the app free for everyone, because the way we designed it costs us very little per user, and we wanted to solve a pressing issue facing Claude users (the imposed multi-hour timeouts).
Any tech details?
Blue Comet is a React Node.js app. It is designed as a progressive web app (PWA), making it easy to use and install. All user data (conversations, settings, keys) is stored locally on your machine, making it the most secure AI chat client out there. We are focused on chrome and chromium-based browsers as our platforms of choice.
